DANNEMORA – Richard Ashline, Jr., 79, of Plank Road, passed away February 19, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Chazy Lake, NY on March 27, 1939, son of Richard and Edith (Reyor) Ashline, Sr.

Richard worked maintenance at the Eden Park Nursing Home in Glens Falls for several years. He married the former Irene Goff on September 24, 1988 in Queensbury, NY.

In their later years, Richard and Irene moved back home to Chazy Lake to care for aging family.

Richard was a gentle soul who loved life and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 30 years, Irene Ashline; daughters, Kandy Hughes, Tanya Muhl, and Star Russell; his son, Brian Ashline; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard was predeceased by his parents and brother, Bernie Ashline.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will take place in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora.
