WEST CHAZY- Richard "Rick" Morrison, 63, of Rt. 9 West Chazy, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at CVPH Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Plattsburgh on June 14, 1955, the son of Willis and Marion (Walker) Morrison.

Rick worked for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point for over 34 years.  He was an active member of the West Chazy Fire Department.

Rick loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing, and he was a true fan of NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Vassar; his father, Willis "Pete" Morrison; children, Rick and Kelly Morrison, Mandy and Mike Jolicoeur; stepdaughters, Kimberly Martino and her companion Dames Boire, Heather and Josh Porter; brothers, Gary and Lee Morrison; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jesse Thomas, Matthew Jolicoeur and companion Rachael Harvey, RJ and Alexis Morrison, Kent, Kyle, Kassidy Martino, and Hailey and Alex Porter; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was predeceased by his mother Marion and a brother Wayne.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday April 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
