PLATTSBURGH – Rev. Richard W. Wilson, 89, of Seneca Drive, passed away, May 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Buffalo, NY on February 20, 1930, the son of Roy and Marjorie Wilson.

Richard married Leona Panciera in Distant, PA in 1955.

He attended Houghton College where he received his Bachelor's Degree, and received his Master's Degrees from Wheaton College and SUNY Plattsburgh.

Richard spent his life serving others as a pastor, teacher and counselor, retiring as pastor of Independent Baptist Church, Keeseville. He also maintained membership with the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Richard enjoyed traveling, reading, and learning about history. He also liked doing magic tricks and photography. Richard loved music and was known for his beautiful singing voice.

Survivors include his children, David (Jodi) Wilson of Virginia and Lorena Krupka of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Lauren Wilson, Lindsay Wilson, Matthew (Karen) Wilson, and Mitchell Wilson; nine nieces and three nephews.

Richard was predeceased by his wife Leona, and brother, Wendell Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Independent Baptist Church Missions Fund, the Clinton County Meals on Wheels Program, or Hospice of the North Country.
