PLATTSBURGH—Rita Marie Larche, 85, formerly of Dannemora, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh on March 26, 1937 the oldest of three children born to Edward and Laura (Defayette) Carron.

She was a graduate of Sallaz Academy in Redford and Our Lady of Victory Secretarial School in Plattsburgh.

Rita married Deacon Richard "Mike" Larche on December 26, 1958 at the Church of Assumption in Redford, NY. Together they raised seven children.

Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family and her faith played an integral part of her life, from being a Cub Scout Den Mother, to teaching religion, Marriage Encounter and Pre-Cana. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters and was a Eucharistic Minister at church bringing communion to shut-ins for many years.

Rita was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora and was the church's secretary for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie Barilla, Laurie and Bob Guiney; her sons, Edward and Michele Larche, John and Sue Larche, James and Susan Larche, Paul and Brandy Larche, Richard and Brittany Larche; grandchildren Travis, Andrew, Graelin, Nicholas, Jack, Sam, Max, Ava, Grace Larche, Harper Facey, Joseph and Michael Barilla, James and Brian Guiney, Kathleen Fletcher, Katie Laba, Sarah Haupt; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Rita was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 31 years, granddaughter, Jessica Larche, brother Howard Carron, and sister Carol Gilmour.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
