PLATTSBURGH – Rita E. LaRose, 103, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.

She was born in Redford on April 3, 1918 the daughter of Edgar and Ursula (Bissonnette) McCasland.

Rita married Herman LaRose on October 2, 1939 at Church of the Assumption in Redford.

She worked at Saranac Central School until her retirement.

Rita enjoyed watching the Met's play ball and her game shows.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Scholl; two sons, Gilbert and Diane LaRose and Gerald and Connie LaRose; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Herman, son-in-law, Richard, two sisters, Rose and Florence and brother, Clarence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.

Burial will be at a later date in Church of Assumption Cemetery in Redford.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church or Isle LaMotte Shrine in Vermont.
