Updated service information for Mrs. Rita Ross: A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 8:00 a.m. in the Church of the Assumption in Redford, followed by burial in the parish cemetery. Immediately following the burial, the family has arranged for a reception at the American Legion, 275 Wilson Rd, Saranac, NY 12981 . All are welcome.
Rita A. Ross, 95, formerly of Redford, passed away on February 25, 2023 at the Clinton County Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Black Brook, NY on July 27, 1927 the daughter of Adlor and Agnes (Corron) Myers.
Rita graduated from Sallaz Academy in Redford, NY.
She enjoyed making blankets and quilts for anyone in need, lap blankets and bags for veterans and beds and blankets for the SPCA. She also made handmade braided rugs and quilts for many family members.
Survivors include, daughters, Amy (David) Agoney and Gwendolyn Ross all of Plattsburgh and Darleen (Peter) Signorotti of Leesburg, FL; brothers, Gilbert (Jean) Myers of Chazy Lake and Patrick (Marion) Myers of Delaware; brother-in-law, Ronald Lautenschuetz of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Erin House and Eric Signorotti and great-grandchild, Joanna House.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, James Ross, sisters, Geraldine Lautenschuetz and Patricia (Gordon) Dubrey and grandson, Christopher Agoney.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Clinton County Nursing Home for the 5 years of wonderful care Rita received. The family would also like to thank Hospice of the North Country for all the extra support given to Rita and family during her final days.
