Robert L Colby (Bob) age 60 of Ellenburg Depot, NY passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2022.  He was born September 5th 1961 in Gloversville, NY to Frank and Dorothy (Stewart) Colby.  He spent much of his life living in Saranac Lake and the surrounding area where he married Elizabeth (Betty Jo) Gallo.  They were married in 2001.  He had worked at many places in the area, including the Adult Center where he drove bus and called bingo and as a maintenance man at some of the local hotels.  He would also help Pat McCormick at his TV shop.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Everyday he looked forward to his Stewart's coffee and going for a car ride.  He used to find enjoyment in talking on the cb radio, taking his oldest daughter on motorcycle rides and riding snowmobiles.  He loved telling jokes, no matter how corny they were.  He was such a kind man that was always willing to help someone if he could.

Survivors include his 3 daughters, Sarah Colby, Kathleen Jackson and Stephanie Colby;  his 2 brothers, John and Frank Colby and a nephew Josh Colby;  his 6 grandchildren, Mehki Colby, Jaden Bettis,Jatie Colby, Brynn Lamotte,Amerie Colby and Harley Colby.  He also leaves behind his companion, Sharon Gribble, his fur baby, Spike and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife and a grandson, Jordan Colby Snyder.

Bob will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Turnpike Wesleyan Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery.
