PLATTSBURGH— Robert W. Hendrie, Sr., passed away on June 30, 2022 at home with his family.

He was born in Plattsburgh, NY to Thomas and Catherine Hendrie, on May 15, 1945.

Robert served in the US Army from November 1965 to November 1967 and was Honorably Discharged in 1971. He worked at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base as a heavy equipment mechanic from 1979 to it's closure in 1995. He then moved to PARC as a mechanic and transferred to the Plattsburgh International Airport until he retired in 2008.

Robert enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren as well as fishing and target shooting.

Robert is survived by his wife, Saundra Baker whom he married on July 3, 1981 in Schuyler Falls, NY; four children, Robert Jr., Tammy Larock, Jason and Jeremy Hendrie; brothers and sisters, Raymond, Judy (Ronald) Senecal, Harold (Eileen) Hendrie, Kenny Hendrie, Cathy (Eli) Beshaw, Dan (Shirley) Hendrie, Millie (Walter) Rivers, Juanita (Harlan) Spooner; eleven grandchildren, Marlayna, Shelby, Emily, Mackenzie, Marissa, Zachary, Amber, Brantley, Abigail, Colton and Jaxson and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by close family friends, Pearl Leyva and Carol Duquette.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Tommy, Herman and Norman.

There will be no services at Robert's request.
