Obituary

KEESEVILLE --Robert 'Bob' Edward Littlefield Sr., 66, of Hill St., passed away peacefully Monday, October 11, 2021 at UVM Health Network - CVPH.

Bob was born on November 16, 1954 in Chicago, IL. He was the fourth of nine children of John & Mary (Prindeville) Littlefield. Bob loved having a large family and could often be heard telling stories about his childhood.  Bob worked for many years at WPTZ where he retired from in 2019, as well many years in the US ARMY both in active duty and reserves.

Bob was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He doted on his family and was happiest when everyone was around him. He lived to love and care for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved gardening, rock collecting, traveling the world with the love of his life, and spending time with his family. These were his real passions.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Janet (Connor) Littlefield, his son Robert Littlefield Jr. and his wife, Amy Littlefield of Plattsburgh, his daughter Christina (Littlefield) King and her husband, Michael King Jr. of Churubusco, and his daughter Rachel Gilbert of Jacksonville. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Sabrina Burgess, Austin Burgess, Kaiden Burgess, Logan King, Izobel Welch, Ella King, and Vivian King.

He is survived by his brother John (Jack) Littlefield and his wife, Cathy Littlefield of Columbus, OH, his brother James Littlefield and his wife Kathy Littlefield of The Villages, FL, his brother Stephen Littlefield and his wife, AnnMarie Littlefield of Johns Island, SC, his brother William Littlefield and his wife Kathy Littlefield of Wrightstown, NJ, his brother-in-law Louis Rotondella of Port Monmouth, NJ, and his brother Redmond and his wife Melissa Littlefield of Jackson, NJ. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Roselee Studt of Sparta, NJ. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bob is predeceased by his parents, John Francis and Mary Alice Littlefield, his in-laws, Edward Connor and Louise Connor, his sister Mary Eileen Littlefield, and his sister Elizabeth Ann (Littlefield) Rotondella, as well as his sister in-law, Theresa Connor Smith and brother in-law, Robert Studt.

He was never one for sentiment or religiosity, but he wanted you to know that if he owes you a beer, and if you can find him in Heaven, he will gladly allow you to buy him another.

One could always expect to find an anti-social cat named Groucho avoiding him. It could simply be that Groucho doesn't like dad jokes.

Unlike previous times, this is not a ploy to avoid creditors.  He assures us that he is gone. He is loved beyond words and will be greatly missed.
