PLATTSBURGH- Rodney J. Seymour, 84, of Erin Ave. Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Plattsburgh on November 22, 1939, the son of Clarence and Evelyn (Laramie) Seymour.

Rodney was a Correction Officer for the New York State of Corrections, serving in many different prisons in the state before retiring.

He married Yiqiong Lin in 1995.

In his spare time Rodney enjoyed playing golf and rooting for the New York Yankees.

Survivors include his wife, Yiqiong; son Lin Chen, his wife Akemi, grandchildren Hana and Aika; twin brother Robert (Barbara) Seymour of Plattsburgh; a sister, Nancy and Charles Racette.

He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother Duwane "Fudd" Seymour.
