KEESEVILLE – Roger Baker, 79, formerly of Grove Street in Keeseville, passed away, Saturday, March 7, 2020.

He was born in Altona on May 30, 1940, the son of Harry and Margaret (Reil) Baker.

Roger married the former Josephine White on April 22, 1978 in Plattsburgh.

He worked for the City of Plattsburgh for many years doing various jobs before retiring.

Roger was a member of Rescue Hose 5 and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Baker of Keeseville; eight children, Roger (Penny) Baker, Kenny (Bilania) Baker, William (Rebecca) Baker, Ronnie (Tracey) Baker, Stephen (Michele) Baker, Jeffry (Sarah Dupee) Owens, Tammy (Gary) LaMarche, and Tina (Thomas) Ales; seven siblings, Don (Betty) Baker, Shirley (Joe) Ellsworth, Jerry (Debbie) Austin, Laura Baker Decker, Robert Baker, Wayne Baker, and Rachael Baker; 29 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joseph R. White II; sister-in-law, Virginia (Christian) King, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was predeceased by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; his first wife, Quanita (Aiken) Baker; a son, Joseph Baker and a brother, Michael Baker.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John's Church in Keeseville at a later date. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
