Obituary

PLATTSBURGH: Roger J. Pepin, Sr. 71, of Rt. 22 died Wednesday, February1, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, VT. He was born in Lowell, MA on February 12, 1940, the son of Valmore and Imelda (Brown) Pepin. He married the former Joan Mashtare at St. Peters Church in 1961. Mr. Pepin served in the United States Marine Corps. and was honorably discharged from Quantico, VA in 1960. He was a truck driver for Chemical Leamen and later for Cryogenics Chemicals in Champlain for over 30 years retiring in 1996. He loved the Giants Football Team, American Indian Memorabilia, his little dog Brandy and his Harley Davidson. Survivors include his wife, of 50 years, Joan; two sons, Michael and his wife Terri of Buffalo and Roger, Jr. and his fianc, Cindy of Jersey Shore, NJ; one daughter, Susan Campbell of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Krista, Danielle, Casey, and Sierra; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Friday, February 10th, from 3 to 5 pm at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 11th, at 11:00 am at St. Augustines Church in Peru. Donations, in his memory, may be made to the Heart Association.
