These Hands

These hands kneaded hundreds of pounds of dough for breads, buns and donuts.

These hands rolled dough for pies, cookies, biscuits, and "sliders."

These hands rocked babies, changed diapers, fed bottles and rubbed boo-boos.

These hands washed countless loads of laundry, hung them to dry, folded them and put them away.

These hands changed bed sheets, swept and mopped floors, cleaned bathrooms, and washed and dried mountains of dishes.

These hands hemmed and unhemmed piles of clothes, sewed patches, buttons, and tears so each child could get their use.

These hands brushed long hair, made finger curls, and put bows on our heads.

These hands held ours when we were afraid, uncertain, needed safety, or just because.

These hands are the hands of our loving mother.
Let these tired hands rest now, Mom.

They have completed their purpose.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Clifford Renadette, her daughter Paula Owen, a grandson John Yeoman, and a grand-daughter Samantha Bates.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her son Gary Renadette, his children Kealy and Kevin, her daughter Sonya Bianchi and partner Rik Kourofsky, and children Caine Bianchi and Aislyn Bianchi, her daughter Cindy Bates and husband Steve Bates, her daughter Peggysue Yeoman and husband Edwin Yeoman, and their daughter Erin Yeoman, her daughter Tammy Fritz and son Gavin, her daughter Dana Kozak and husband Rich, and their children Jarek and Mason, son-in-law Burton Owen and his children Kelly and Chad, her sister Edith Parker and husband Clary Parker, sister-in-law Ruby Hughes, sister-in-law Esther Arce and husband Fred, and six great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID, there will be no services. There will be a celebration of Shirley's life to follow sometime in the spring at a date to be determined.
