MORRISONVILLE— Sidney St. Louis, 73, of St. Louis Drive, passed away, February 26, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Plattsburgh on September 4, 1946, son of Leander and Viola (Darrah) St. Louis.
Sidney was a hardworking and caring individual who spent over 30 years acting as the landlord for numerous families throughout our community. Sidney was dedicated to his tenants and formed many lifelong friendships.
He spent many summers at his camp on Rainbow Lake and loved to go boating, fishing and hunting. Sidney had also gone on a few cruises that he enjoyed immensely.
Survivors include his brother Stanley (Shirley) St. Louis; nieces and nephews, Michael St. Louis and his companion Karen Lopez, Judy and Dan Carpenter, Mark and Jackie St. Louis, Phillip St. Louis, Laurie and Brent Banker, Rick and Connie Webber, Jeffery and Marilyn Webber, and Steve and Polly Webber; and numerous friends including, Jonathan Side and his children, JD Side and Kyle Side, who affectionately referred to Sidney as PaPa, Kathie Cameron, Matthew Furman, Will Gadway, Eric Harvey, Albert Ball, Wyatt Davis, and Kellie Porter.
Sidney was predeceased by his sister Shirley (Wayne) Ralph.
The family would also like to acknowledge the quality of care given to Sidney during his final days by the staff at Hospice and his caregivers, Char Liberty, Becky Hewson, Floee Breyette, Dee LaValley, Jess Brown, Harley Blake, and Jess Blake.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Church. Burial will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
