CHAZY – Steven L. Boire, 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt with loved ones by his side.

Born on April 25, 1959 in Plattsburgh, the son of Louis and Evelyn (Rider) Boire,

Steven was a graduate of Chazy Central Rural School and Canton ATC where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

He married Ellen Gregoire on February 16, 1980, at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy.

Steven grew up working for Boire's Florist, a cherished family business owned by his parents.  He was also a Maintenance Supervisor at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Rouses Point for many years and he owned and operated Boire's Landscaping from 1980 to 2005.

Steven was an active member of the Chazy Volunteer Fire Department, the Beaver Lodge Hunting Club, and always looked forward to his Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club meals. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, and skiing. Spending time in the Adirondacks and just being outdoors was a lifelong passion.  He was a loving husband, a strong and steady father, and proud Grandpa.  He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his wife Ellen of Chazy; sons, Casey Boire and Jennifer Corwell of St. Albans, Vt, Corey and Abby Boire of Plattsburgh; sister Diana Boire and Alan Adorisio of Essex Vt.; grandchildren Kamryn Boire, Eve Boire; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Evelyn Boire, and a sister Barbara Clark.

Services will be private for the family and a public celebration of life will be announced later in the spring.
