PLATTSBURGH – Susan Cahoon, 69, of the Moffitt Rd., passed away Tuesday September 15, 2020 at CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on December 3, 1950 the daughter of Joseph and Beatrice (Badger) Brushnefski. Susan graduated from Chazy Central Rural School and went on to receive some college credits. She was a licensed Health and Life Insurance and Property and Causality Broker.

Susan was an accountant for many years. She was active in the Democrat Committee and was a former member of the Plattsburgh Town Board and the Beekmantown School Board.

Survivors include her husband Ronald Cahoon of Plattsburgh, children, Ronald and Jinny Cahoon II of Plattsburgh, Dana and Kim Foster of Orlando FL, Neil and Jolene Cahoon of Plattsburgh; brothers, Stephen and Lorraine Brushnefski of Newport NH, Gary Brushnefski of Tampa FL, Gregory Brushnefski of Plattsburgh; a sister Sandy and Gregory Duquette of Peru; grandchildren, Shandley, Matti, Aiden and Kayla; 1 great-grandchild; two aunts Frances Smith and June Bedard and several nieces and nephews.

Susan was predeceased by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 21 ^st at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy. Due to Covid-19 face covering and social distancing are required.
