DANNEMORA – Susan E. Gallagher, 73,passed away February 26, 2021 at Advent Health in Orlando, FL, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 1, 1947 the daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Favaro) Goddeau.

Susan graduated from Saranac Central School and later OLVA Secretarial School.

She married James Gallagher on October 21, 1967 at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.

Susan worked as a secretary at BOCES and then at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, retiring May 16, 2002, after 31 years of service.

She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed cooking and wintering in FL. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, James Gallagher of Dannemora; sons, William and Amy (Carpenter) Gallagher and Thomas and Anne (Larkin) Gallagher; brothers, James Goddeau and his companion, Carole McGivney, Allen and Patty Goddeau, Stephen and Mary Goddeau; sisters, Lucinda Goddeau, Meribeth Williams and companion William Buskey and Michelle Goddeau and her companion, Walter Wright; grandchildren, Marissa Perry, Michael, Quinn and Devlin Gallagher; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Thomas Goddeau and Peter Goddeau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.

Burial will follow in Church of Assumption Cemetery.
