DANNEMORA, NY - Susan Hassel of Dannemora passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 after a long illness.

Susan was born November 22, 1941 in Keeseville, NY to Richard L. Hart and Marion (Colvin) Hart.

She grew up in Keeseville and met James Hassel, who was stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. The couple married on March 17, 1962 and remained in the North Country.

Susan was predeceased by her parents Richard and Marion Hart, an infant brother Terry Hart, and her daughter Tina Hassel Doran.
She is survived by her husband James Hassel and daughter Sherry Hassel of Dannemora;  two brothers, Richard Hart and his wife June Hart of Keeseville, and Paul Hart and his wife Helen of Ausable Forks;  four grandchildren, Kirsten Doran and her husband Josh Esco,  Dylan Doran, Terry Doran and Cameron Doran all of Chazy;  son-in-law, Terrence Doran of Chazy;  two nephews, Michael Hart of Ausable Forks and Craig Hart of Plattsburgh;  and two nieces, Lisa  Hart Wilkins of Plattsburgh and Melody Hart Lafountain of Keeseville.
