ALTONA – Terry Hoy, 68, of Rand Hill Road, passed away, August 9, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 11, 1957, son of Morris and Dolores (Gougeon) Hoy.

Terry married the former Lillian Farnsworth in Tupper Lake on July 22, 2006.

He retired from the Tupper Lake Central School after working for many years as a custodian.  Terry also worked construction with his brother's company Hoy Construction.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed ice fishing, hunting and fishing and he was  also an avid bowler.

Terry was a hard working man who loved and cared for his family.  He will greatly missed, especially all the jokes he loved to play on family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lillian Hoy;  sons, John Hoy, Chad Hoy, Christopher (Kerri) Drabick;  John Drabick, Anthony (Amber) Farnsworth, and Timothy (Shannon) Drabick;  daughter, Kari (Josh) Hoy;  brother, Ronald (Janis) Hoy;  sister, Bonnie Fiato;  grandchildren, Alyssa, Brandon, Austin, Hunter, Aleah, Eathan, Alex, Parker, Ryder, Travis, Gabrielle, Jaeleah, and Everlee;  two great-grandchildren;  and many nieces and nephews.

Terry was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Sheldon Hill Cemetery in Ellenburg Depot.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
