CADYVILLE- Thomas J. Gordon, 69, of Goddeau Rd., passed away Saturday July 11, 2020 at CVPH Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 23, 1950 the son of Stanley and Isabelle (Thompson) Gordon.
Tom was a graduate of Saranac Central School and Hudson Valley College.
He married Deborah Lepine Gebhart at St. James Church in Cadyville on September 3, 1977.
Tom worked for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories for many years retiring from the Chazy location in 2010. Tom lived all his life in Cadyville, being an active member of his community. He was a 50-year member of the Cadyville Fire Department, holding positions as Assistant Fire Chief, Chairman of Commissioner and presently Fire Commissioner for the past several years and was the parade chairman for over 25 years for the Cadyville Fire Department field day. Tom was also a member of the Morrisonville Knights of Columbus and was a member of the St. James Church in Cadyville.
Tom loved spending time with his family and friends, and always willing to lend a hand on any projects. In his spare time Tom enjoyed taking random rides through the North Country and beyond with his wife Deb by his side.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Gordon; his daughter, Susan Gordon; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Miranda (Marshall) Gordon; his beautiful granddaughter, Madison Mae Gordon and his soon to be grandson, Owen Thomas Gordon, who is on his way. His extended family, Jennifer, Jeremy, Megan and Joshua Daniels.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, his daughters, Sarah and Megan Gordon and sister Margaret "Peggy" Delaney, his in-laws, Edward Lepine, Harry and Patricia Gebhart and brother-in-law Victor Lepine.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday July 14th at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required for all services.
Donations may be made to the Cadyville Fire Department.
