WEST CHAZY- Valedia R. Seymour, 86, of O'Neil Road, passed away on July 21, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Altona, NY on June 15, 1936 the daughter of Alfred and Rose (Messeck) Burdo.

Valedia was an active member of St Joseph's Church in West Chazy.

She was employed by Supreme Footwear in Mooers, NY and later Chazy Orchards.

Valedia enjoyed the casino, playing bingo, yard sales, and above all else was the love of her family.

Survivors include her children, Elaine Wells, Peggy Way, Alan (Lisa) Seymour and Joan (Jamie) Carter;  9 grandchildren, Kyle (Mia) Gagnier, Kristine Gagnier, Kagen Wells, James (Stacey) Ashline, Valerie (Dylan) Mirarchi, Alyssa (Tyler) Cook, Alec Seymour, Natasha Vella and Nate Snyder;  great-granchildren, Cora and Cayden Cook, and Charlie and Morgan Mirarchi; brothers, Wilfred Burdo and Lee Burdo;  sisters, Esterine King and Betty Sears;  several nieces and nephews;  and her beloved cat Peanut.

She was predeceased by her parents;  the love of her life of 60 years, Robert A. Seymour;  sisters, Della Sample and Doris Cody;  and sister-in-law, Marion Burdo.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 28 ^th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Entombment at the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum will take place at a later date.
