WAUKESHA-Veronica R. (Bruce) Rock, 83, of Standish, NY and Loughman, FL passed away peacefully on March 2, 2020 after a battle with cancer (Multiple Myeloma) and a sad battle with dementia with her loving daughter by her side in Waukesha, WI where her daughter resides.

Born April 19, 1936 in Plattsburgh, NY to Robert Bruce of Saranac, NY and Elizabeth Raymond Bruce of Standish, NY.  She graduated Lyon Mountain High School in 1954. She is predeceased by her mother and father, 3 brothers Robert, Richard, and Glenn Bruce. Also her first husband Howard Facteau of Saranac, NY and second husband William Rock, Jr. of Keeseville, NY.

She is survived by her only child, daughter Debra Dhillon (husband Mickey) of Waukesha, WI.  Two sister-in-laws Rose (Richard) Bruce of Plattsburgh, and Cathy(Glenn)  Collins-Bruce of Loughman, FL and many nieces and one nephew, and two special cousins Lynn Raymond and Jack Laduke. And many, many wonderful friends.  She will be missed by many, especially her daughter.

She worked many years in the hotel industry in Florida. She was active in the Women of the Moose, a Girl Scout leader in the years her daughter was a Girl Scout, enjoyed Bingo, crosswords, putting jigsaw puzzles together with her daughter and sitting on the porch in the summer of the family home in Standish reminiscing. She enjoyed watching the Lyon Mountain baseball team play in the summer.  She enjoyed going on a few cruises with her daughter Deb and son-in-law Mickey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lyon Mountain Fire and Rescue Department, or Mother Cabrini Shrine, Peru, NY.

"If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one can ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. Part of us went with you the day God took you home." Till we meet again precious Mom.
