PLATTSBURGH – Virgil L. Cross, 84, of Military Turnpike, passed away, April 5, 2021 due to complications from Covid.

He was born in Plattsburgh on July 25, 1936, son of Ernest and Leah Cross.

Virgil worked as the Printing Press Foreman at the Press Republican and retired after 44 years of service. During this time, he also worked as a school bus driver for the Beekmantown Central School District.

Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Anne Cross and sons, Jim Cross, Joey Cross and his wife Lori, and Jeff Cross and his fiancé Kathi Callanan. Virgil also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately for the family.
