CHAZY- Virginia B. Kriegbaum, 98, formerly of McBride Road, passed away, January 11, 2019.

She was born in Lindenhurst, NY on November 11, 1920, daughter of Paul and Maria (Henrich) Jaeger.

Virginia attended Lindenhurst Public Schools. She married George H. Kriegbaum on July 12, 1942.

Together they owned and operated George's Fish Market in Lindenhurst for several years.

Virginia enjoyed spending time reading, gardening, baking and crocheting.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, George Paul Kriegbaum of Northwood, NH; her daughter, Linda LaPier and husband Rodney of Chazy; four grandchildren, Stacy Geant Hughes, Patrick T. O'Connor, Shane F. O'Connor, and Casey R. O'Connor; eleven grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Breslau Cemetery in Lindenhurst, NY.
