MORRISONVILLE-Walter B. Coryea, 84, of Rand Hill Road, passed away on January 15, 2025.

He was born in Altona on September 16, 1940 the son of John and Pearl (Goodman) Coryea.

Walter attended Beekmantown Central School.

He retired from Highway Maintenance for the NYS Department of Transportation after 28 years.

Walter married Regina Sears on June 22, 1963 at St. Alexander's Church. She passed away on January 5, 2024.

Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

Survivors include; daughters, Jodi Coryea and Jill and (Alvin) McLean; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Cordes; grandchildren, Austin (Lasheena) and Benn LaPierre, Lauren, Brandon (Justina), Jared (Ashley) Coryea and James Coryea, Cassondra (Alex) Ellsworth, and Autumn and Adrian McLean; four great-grandchildren, Lola, Madison, Marley LaPierre and Violet Coryea; one brother, Albert Coryea; and a battalion of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Regina; son, Greg Coryea; daughter-in-law, Donna Coryea; siblings, Leeward, Francis, Florence, Mildred, Thelma, and Donald.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.  A funeral service will follow at 4:00pm. in the funeral home chapel.
