WEST CHAZY – Wayne E. Deno, 91, of O'Neil Road, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in West Chazy on August 24, 1929 the son of Leon and Pruedise (Ormbsy) Deno.

Wayne owned and operated a dairy farm and was a school bus driver for the Beekmantown School District until his retirement.

He was a founding member of the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his children, Brian and Gail Deno of West Chazy, Sandra (Deno) Dukette of West Chazy, Wayne Deno of AuSable Chasm, Lynn (John) and Tammy Deno of West Chazy, Jacquelyn (Deno) Boyette and her companion, David Martin of Plattsburgh and James and Heather Deno of West Chazy; Wayne's companion, Doris Nephew; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Deno.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Face covering and social distancing will be required.
