Wayne C. Douglas, 76, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 7, 1949, the son of Charles Douglas and Barbara Clukey.

Wayne married the former Angelia Liberty in Plattsburgh on September 8, 1967. He was a self-employed contractor who had a true passion for building and remodeling. Wayne also loved his family and the New York Yankees.

Survivors include his loving wife, Angelia; children, Brian (Terri) Douglas, Lorenne Douglas (Stuart Mitchell), Karla (Christopher) Romeo, Shelbie Bradford; brother, David (Sandy) Douglas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Majorie Maloney, Diane Miller, Nancy Brunelle, Julie Ashline, James Douglas, and Charlene Douglas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at OLV Church in Plattsburgh on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Burial will be at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
