PLATTSBURGH- William J. Desso, Sr., 74, of Whispering Pines, passed away on January 30, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Plattsburgh, on August 13, 1948 the son of Joseph and Gladys (Stone) Desso.

William graduated from Beekmantown High School.

He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970.

William married Glenda Arnold on January 27, 1973 in Cumberland Head.

He was employed as a Shop Foreman for Luck Brothers Construction for 50 years until his retirement.

William enjoyed Classic Cars, Building Hot Rods and above all else a great love for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Desso; son, William Desso, Jr.; daughters, Nicole and her husband Dale Rascoe and Christinea and her husband  Chris Webb; sisters, Sylvia and Richard Gushlaw, Barbara McIsaac, Deborah and her husband Leonard Murphy; sisters-in-law, Arlene St. John and Faye St. John; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Matthew and Madison Rascoe and Arielle, Schylar and Rhiley Webb and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Herbert and David St. John and Raymond Desso.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
