PLATTSBURGH— William H. Dupree, 92, formerly of the Spellman Rd., passed away April 24, 2019 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Ogdensburg, NY on March 20, 1927 the son of William and Cora (Mattot) Dupree.

William married the former Eleanor Rivers on July 4, 1948 at the Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh.

He retired from Ayerst Laboratory in Rouses Point as a production supervisor.

William was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and the Gideon's. He enjoyed carpentry, working in the church, bowling and golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Dupree of Plattsburgh; two sons, Dan and Deborah Dupree of West Chazy and David and Nancy Dupree of Beekmantown; two daughters, Darlene Weatherbee of Enfield, CT and Denise and John McSweeney of Peabody, MA; sister, Carol and Richard Ashley of Brockport, NY; five grandchildren, Aaron and Rebecca Dupree, Tyson and Darby Dupree, Rebekah and Marc Tidd, Dr. Jessica Weatherbee and Kristen and Thomas Vezeau; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Dupree, Trenton Dupree, Alice Dupree, Josiah Tidd and Lydia Tidd; and several nieces and nephews.

William was predeceased by his parents, siblings, Henry, Dorothy, Harold and Larry Dupree, Vivan McCaffery and son-in-law Charles Weatherbee.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Church of the Nazarene, 187 Broad St. Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Ingraham Cemetery.
