William D. Levasseur, 27, of Fiske Road, West Chazy, passed away on May 17, 2025.

He was born in Plattsburgh, on June 5, 1997 the son of Benjamin and Carrie (Shepard) Levasseur.

William graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 2015. He attended SUNY Plattsburgh, graduating with a BA in music.

William was employed by Norsk Titanium and Rawson's Piano.

He belonged to Upward Bound, SUNY Plattsburgh Symphonic Band, SUNY Plattsburgh, Phi mu Delta and SUNY Plattsburgh Jazz ensemble.

William enjoyed car shows, bowling, fishing and playing in Mambo Combo band, and with local Straw hatters group.

William lived his life like a beautiful song, full of rhythm, grit and soul. Whether he was bowling strikes, tuning his car or simply being dad to Toby. Will left melody that will never fade. His hands may rest, but his music plays on in every heart he touched.

Will was loved greatly by his large family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Levasseur, his son, Tobias Levasseur, mother, Carrie Levasseur, brother, Joshua (Irene) Levasseur, sister, Ashley (Justin) Levasseur, grandparents, Bonnie Hynson, Linda Shepard and Denis Levasseur; niece, Amelia and nephews, Benny and Ray.

He was predeceased by his loving father, Benjamin Levasseur and his grandfathers, Raymond Shepard and Sam Hynson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Social Hall, in Plattsburgh on May 24, from 2 to 4 pm.
