Obituary

MORRISONVILLE – Wray Kingsbury Duprey, 86, of Pine Ridge Drive, passed away, January 24, 2020 at CVPH.  It is with tremendous sadness we share with you that, after years of courageous living with renal failure and dialysis, Wray Kingsbury Duprey has passed away peacefully. Our hearts are broken as we navigate our emotions through our tremendous loss. We are grateful that he is at peace and no longer suffering. Wray was a sweet, caring, loving, kind, generous, and thoughtful man who had a heartwarming smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He placed others' needs before his own. Wray's passion was his family. Wray enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking, grilling, woodworking, feeding and watching the birds, the turkeys, and deer, gardening (vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees), lawn mowing, rock and fossil collecting and rock polishing, and car rides. He had a beautiful singing voice. He loved his mini-rat terrier, Chocolate Chip, or Chip, or ChipChip for short. We are grateful and thankful for the kindness and care shown to him by staff at the HK Freedman Renal Center, CVPH Medical Center, and UVM Medical Center. He was loved and cherished by many, and he will be deeply missed.

Wray was born in Plattsburgh on January 29, 1933, son of Warren and Ethel (Fisher) Duprey.

Wray graduated from Chazy Central School and later attended Plattsburgh State.

He served his country enlisting in the United States Navy, and later met the love of his life, the former Carolyn Wright.  They married on December 30, 1957 in the Chazy Methodist Church.

Wray worked for many years at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Rouses Point, retiring as a Supervisor.
