WEST CHAZY – Yvonne M. Miller, 101, of Military Turnpike, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chazy on February 5, 1920 the daughter of David and Albina (Cote) Duffany.

Yvonne married Leo B. Miller in St. Joseph's Church in Mooers on October 7, 1940. She raised her family and worked for Holiday Inn in Plattsburgh for over 27 years, retiring in 2003, to enjoy time with her family. Yvonne was an avid gardener, who loved growing her flowers and vegetables. She canned every year and enjoyed the fruits for her labors over the winter months.

Survivors include three sons, Richard and Alfreda Miller of West Chazy, Roger and Anna Miller of West Chazy, Henry and Brenda Miller of West Chazy; daughter-in-law, Juanita Miller of West Virginia; 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was predeceased by husband, Leo B. Miller, sons, Leo W. Miller, and Maynard Miller, brother, Leo Duffany, and sisters Mae Barcomb, Irene Miller, Catherine Duffany, and Edith "Bertha" Case.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
