SARANAC---Jordan C. Vann, 26, of Saranac and St. Regis Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2015. He was born in Burlington, VT on February 5, 1989, the son of Edward M. Vann and Barbara Tarbell. Jordan was a true outdoorsman at heart and especially loved hunting. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family. Jordan could "light up" a room every time he entered and would always get everyone laughing. He was a talented handyman and a "Jack of all Trades." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his father, Edward Vann and his companion, Susan Nelson of Saranac; his mother, Barbara Tarbell and her companion John Finnegan of St. Regis Falls, NY; and one brother, Joshua Vann and his companion Cora Barnes of Saranac. Jordan was also very proud to most recently be the "only uncle" of his infant niece, Arabella Vann. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Kathy and Mike Collins of Saranac, Kenneth Vann of Telluride, CO, Carol Vann of Redford, Mark and Sandy Vann, Tasha Vann, Jacob Vann all of Redford, and Sue and John Nickerson of Texas; his maternal grandmother, Shirley "Ninny" Carpenter of Malone; his canine companion, Mercedes; and several cousins and close friends. Jordan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Wilford Floyd "Flago" and Gertrude "Trudy" Vann and his maternal grandfather, Charles Tarbell.
