MORRISONVILLE--- Kyle R. Broadwell, 42, of Broadwell Road, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY.
He was born in Plattsburgh on June 30, 1974, the son of Robert and Donna (Hicks) Broadwell.
Kyle graduated from Peru High School and then attended Plattsburgh State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree.
He married the former Sherry Bodah on June 28, 2014 at Holy Angels Church in Altona, NY.
Kyle worked at the Press Republican as an online sales and advertising specialist. He was a pirate enthusiast, an expert at making nachos, enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, gaming, and especially spending time with his son Luke. Two of Kyle's favorite quotes were "Why is all the rum gone?" – Captain Jack Sparrow and "Some things never change, and some things do." – Morphius: The Matrix.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry Broadwell of Morrisonville; his son, Luke Broadwell of Morrisonville; his parents, Robert and Donna Broadwell of Morrisonville; one sister, Jeannine Broadwell of Dublin, CA; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hicks of Plattsburgh; his mother-in-law, Theresa Bodah of Altona; two brothers-in-law, Jason Bodah and his wife Jess of Mooers and Vincent Bodah and his wife Angela of Champlain; sister-in-law, Gena Dupee and her husband Jason of Mooers; nieces and nephews, twin boys Michael and Robert Broadwell, Starr Beam, Justin Bodah, Richard McGrath, Brynn Dupee and Timothy Dupee.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in the Broadwell Family Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Autism Alliance of Northeastern New York, P.O. Box 1884, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or any animal shelter/feral program.
