PLATTSBURGH---Maxine H. Downs, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. She was born in Carrol, ME on June 24, 1938 the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Severance) Ogden. She married Clayton Downs in Maine in 1954. Maxine retired from Dana Corporation in Bradford, CT in 2009. Survivors include two daughters, Bertha Walden of Colorado Springs, CO and Katherine and Stephen Beaudette of Plattsburgh; one sister, Vera Thibedeau of Bangor, ME; four grandchildren, Krystal Walden-Robertson and her husband Jason of Colorado Springs, CO, Darrel Walden II of Colorado Spring, CO, Christopher and Heather Beaudette of Peru and Stephen and Amanda Beaudette of Peru; six great-grandchildren, Alexander Beaudette, Emily Beaudette, Julianna Beaudette, Lucas Beaudette, Tony Walden and Andrew Walden. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Downs in 2008, two brothers, Arthur Ogden and Ewen Ogden and three sisters, Lena Chubbuck, Arlene Byers and Hilda White. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 1 to 2 pm at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
